The coupling is mainly used to connect the coaxial line or the two parallel shafts. The torque of the motor is transmitted to the low speed shaft through the reducer and the coupling to complete the load lifting, overhead crane and trolley running operation. Gear couplings will be worn due to mounting accuracy, loose anchor bolts, bridge deformation, poor lubrication, etc. Therefore, the coupling should be inspected frequently.
The basic requirements for the inspection of the coupling: the connection of the coupling should be firm, the connecting bolts and the connecting keys should not be loose, and the radial runout and end face runout of the rotating coupling should not exceed the limit.
When the bolt hole of the coupling is severely worn, it will jump or even cut the bolt. Therefore, the bolt hole should be scrapped when it is worn seriously.
When the tooth thickness wear exceeds 15%-20% of the original tooth thickness, it should be repalced a new one.
The keyway is not allowed to be repaired, and the hoisting mechanism keyway is not allowed to be repaired.
When any part of the coupling has cracks, or there is a broken tooth, it should be repalced a new one.
